Alex Stoichkov

I enlisted Nov 1970. My MOS was 0331 machine gunner, after ITR I was sent to Sea School at Portsmouth, Va. During my two year tour on the USS John F. Kennedy, we made 2 Med cruises. When my tour ended, we were out at sea, I was launched off the ship on the mail plane. My last year and a half was at The Basic School, Quantico, EI Co, weapons platoon. While there, I made Sgt. We trained newly-minted 2nd Lieutenants on the full variety of infantry support weapons. I went to WPC for 3 years but decided it wasn't for me.

Eventually went to work for A&P supermarkets as an Assistant Mgr. throughout Bergen and Rockland counties. I became a League member in 1999. I am a  Past-Commandant, Senior and Junior Vice and look forward to being Sgt at Arms for the future. Oorah!
